Creating Research That Matters Through Stakeholder Engagement: Development and use of Alberta child health research priorities
Determining what research topics are of importance is often determined by funding agencies and decided upon by researchers, whose priorities may differ from those of consumers (patients, parents and caregivers). In this session, our presenters will highlight two different research priority setting projects conducted with parents, youth and healthcare providers in Alberta; comparing processes and priority outcomes, as well as discussing future initiatives stemming from this work.

By the end of the session attendees will;
• Learn about current child health priority research areas in Alberta
• Learn about different stakeholder engagement and priority setting research processes
• Learn how to utilize these findings to guide primary and knowledge translation research initiatives
